Putin Submits Documents to Register as Presidential Candidate
Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived at the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation to submit documents for participation in the presidential elections scheduled for 2024. The information was reported by TASS.
Putin is running as an independent candidate. According to electoral legislation, he was required to create a group of at least 500 voters. The assembly took place on December 16, and the participants unanimously supported Putin.
The package of documents submitted to the Central Election Commission includes a petition for the group's registration, indicating the personal data of the candidate and all participants, the minutes of the assembly, a list of authorized representatives of the group, a declaration of consent to the candidate's nomination, and other documents.
It is worth recalling that on December 8, Putin announced his intention to participate in the 2024 presidential elections.
