Video: How Likely Is It That a Peace Agreement Will Be Signed Soon? - Pashinyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he would like to consider yesterday's event as a starting point from which efforts can be made to ensure that future news reflects an increased likelihood of signing a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, rather than the opposite.
Speaking at a ministerial meeting of landlocked developing countries, Pashinyan said, "We should make use of this to ensure that further news indicates more the likelihood of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan being signed, rather than the contrary." He discussed the probabilities surrounding the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the near future.
“Since a very important event took place yesterday—there was an exchange of prisoners between Armenia and Azerbaijan—I wouldn’t want to focus on pessimistic facts. I would like to consider yesterday's event as a zero point from which we can make efforts so that future news indicates an increase in the likelihood of signing a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and not the opposite,” Pashinyan added.
