Putin on Pashinyan's Absence from CSTO Events
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that, as far as he is aware, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's absence from the joint events is related not to his desire or lack thereof to continue working in the CSTO, CIS, and EAEU organizations, but rather to internal processes within the country. This information was conveyed by RIA Novosti.
Regarding the Armenian Prime Minister's absence from general events, Putin said, "We know that this is associated, in any case, with certain processes in Armenia and is not linked to the desire or unwillingness to continue work in these integration associations. We will see how the situation develops." He made these remarks while summarizing the year.
Putin does not believe it would be advantageous for Armenia to withdraw from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). He noted, "I do not think it is in Armenia's interests to cease its membership in the CIS, the EAEU, and the CSTO. After all, this is a choice of the state."
