What Potential EU Support for Armenia Could Entail: An Explanation from an EU Representative
The official spokesperson for the European Union’s foreign policy service, Peter Stano, has clarified what potential support through the European Peace Facility for Armenia entails. This discussion was previously mentioned by the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell.
In an interview with an Armenpress correspondent in Brussels, Stano addressed what this support could mean, stating that the assistance is being discussed by member countries, taking into account the needs and requests of Armenian partners.
“This could involve field hospitals, defense equipment, but it could also enhance capabilities to combat cyberattacks and misinformation. The spectrum is very broad, and member states need to decide what the EU should ultimately do—reflecting what Armenia defines as its most pressing needs,” Stano remarked.
