Bus Driver Responsible for Accident Still Under Medical Supervision

A representative of the "Yerevan Bus" company has provided details about the major accident that occurred recently in the center of the capital.

According to the representative, Khachik Maloyan, the driver of the number 18 route bus, Aleksan Karapetyan, experienced a medical emergency while driving, which resulted in damage to 10 vehicles. No passengers or pedestrians were injured. The emergency medical team that arrived at the scene transported the driver to the Heratsi University Hospital, where he received medical care and is currently still under the supervision of doctors.

In response to a question from Mayor Tigran Avinyan, he informed that drivers are checked before starting their routes, and everything was normal with the driver.

It is worth noting that on December 15, the National Crisis Management Center received a report that an accident had occurred at the intersection of Koryun and Abovyan streets in Yerevan, involving multiple vehicles and a bus, with reports of a trapped victim.
