«Problems have not existed, now they will. What do they need this for?» - Putin

All disputes between Russia and Finland have long been resolved, and there are no issues in the relations between the two countries. However, they will emerge with Finland's accession to NATO, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

“Thus, they took Finland and dragged it into NATO. Do we have disputes with Finland? All disputes, including territorial ones, were resolved long ago in the mid-20th century,” said the Russian leader.

Putin noted that there are some issues in the field of forestry related to the need for developing wood processing within the country. “That’s it. This is nonsense, really trivial. There have been no problems, now there will be. Because we will now create a military district in Leningrad and concentrate certain troops there. What do they need this for? It’s some kind of nonsense,” said the Russian president.
