Armenia Is Not Trying to Invent the Wheel, Says Kerobyan’s Advisor
Armenia is living through historically challenging times, yet the country is actively working to overcome its challenges. Armenia had access to the sea thousands of years ago, and we possess maritime knowledge in our genetics. This was stated today by Charles Malas, advisor to the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, during a meeting of ministers from landlocked countries.
According to him, one of the best ideas currently proposed is the "Peace-Transit" initiative, which will connect the region through the use of transport routes. "Recently, we have witnessed the development of Armenia's infrastructure; every effort is being made to implement the North-South corridor," he noted.
According to the speaker, Armenia is not trying to invent the wheel but is doing everything possible to make proper use of what already exists. He presented the scheme for the dry port being constructed in Shirak, mentioning that there will be access for three modes of transport: rail, air, and road.
