Russia Ready to Restore Full Relations with the US, Says Putin

Moscow is ready to establish relations with Washington, as the United States is an important and necessary country. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a press conference.

“Regarding the US, we are ready to establish relations with them; we believe that the United States is an important and necessary country,” said the head of state while commenting on the prospects for restoring bilateral dialogue.

The President also stated that Russia is prepared to restore full relations with the US, but fundamental conditions need to be created first. “When certain internal fundamental changes take place, they will start to respect other people and other countries, then they will look for compromises rather than trying to solve their issues through sanctions and military operations. The fundamental conditions for restoration are needed for full relations; such conditions do not exist yet, but we are ready for that,” the head of state added, responding to a request from TASS to comment on the prospects for restoring bilateral dialogue.
