Don't Worry That the Government May Have Promised Something to Azerbaijan: Aghazaryan on the Return of Prisoners

"The circulated rumors that the government has promised something in exchange for prisoners are not true," said My Step Coalition MP Hovik Aghazaryan in an interview with Oragir.News. The MP assured that there are no circumstances that should cause concern among the people.

"The exchange of prisoners is essentially a result of the pressure from our international partners. Therefore, there is no need to worry that the government may have promised something to Azerbaijan," Aghazaryan stated, adding that Azerbaijani leadership has recently expressed a willingness to make negotiations more substantive.

In response to a clarifying question about the possibility of transferring the remains of those fallen from Artsakh to Armenia as a result of Azerbaijan's willingness, particularly considering that Azerbaijan has already refused the agreement twice, Aghazaryan said he had no concrete information on that matter.

It is noteworthy that today at 15:00, 32 Armenian prisoners were returned to the Republic of Armenia.
