Zakharova Comments on Zelensky's Visit to the United States
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has commented on the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States. According to her, the Ukrainian leader will ask American authorities to allocate additional funds to support the Kyiv regime, focused solely on his own interests.
"Zelensky will once again beg his masters, in fact, the producers of his horrific tragic show, not to stop generously sponsoring the Kyiv regime, but rather to persuade the White House to care more about Ukraine than about Americans," Zakharova stated.
She reminded that there are fervent discussions in the U.S. Congress regarding the allocation of the next aid package to Ukraine. U.S. President Joseph Biden is in favor of such a step, while congress members are against it.
According to Zakharova, Zelensky has come to Washington to play the role of a pawn, as he is concerned not only about his political survival but also about his existence in general. "It is simply impossible to do that without money, without American assistance," she emphasized.
The Foreign Ministry representative also drew attention to reports from Ukrainian media and Telegram channels indicating that Zelensky is preparing to discuss in the states the issue of transferring all of Ukraine's strategic enterprises, subsoil, and land to the management of the transnational BlackRock corporation. In return, he supposedly wishes to receive a new package of military and financial assistance.
"But how this new aid package will be utilized for a fundamentally corrupt Ukraine, I think, is largely unnecessary to say. And everyone already understands this," Zakharova concluded.
