Tbilisi Aims to Expand Public Transport Lanes

The Tbilisi City Hall is looking to allocate more lanes for public transport in the city. According to Mayor Kakha Kaladze, currently, bus lanes exist only on certain streets, and when they end, public transport gets stuck in traffic with other vehicles.

“We want to create more lanes for public transport so it can move freely, without issues and delays,” said the Mayor of Tbilisi.

At the same time, Kaladze noted that it is not possible to implement this quickly, as even the simultaneous closure of two streets creates significant inconveniences for the capital's residents.
