Armenia Invited to Council of Foreign Ministers Thanks to Greek Efforts, Says Foreign Minister

The Greek Foreign Minister, Georgios Gerapetritis, spoke about Armenian-Greek and Armenia-EU relations ahead of the start of the Council of Foreign Relations of the European Union.

“Today, we have come to the Council of Foreign Relations with a heavy and important agenda. We will start with the topic of relations between Armenia and the European Union. Greece welcomes the ongoing peace process in the South Caucasus. Thanks to Greek efforts, Armenia has been invited today to the Council of Foreign Ministers to present its positions aimed at achieving sustainable peace in the broader region. I personally have had extensive discussions with the Armenian Foreign Minister and I intend to visit Armenia in the near future, as well as have the opportunity today to meet with the foreign ministers of both Armenia and Azerbaijan,” stated Gerapetritis.
