Trading Company Returns Approximately 413 Million AMD to State Budget: Investigative Committee

A trading company dealing in food products has restored approximately 413 million AMD to the state budget during the preliminary investigation, representing previously unpaid taxes and calculated fines, as reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

Evidence collected during the investigation revealed that the responsible individuals of the company "P.F.", engaged in the trade of coffee, oil, pasta, and other food products, concealed approximately 1,130,000,000 AMD in turnover from January 2021 to August 2022 to pay less taxes, thus violating the requirements of the Tax Code of Armenia.

While making sales, they failed to issue tax invoices and did not provide receipts from cash registers, instead submitting distorted information in their calculations to the tax authority. According to the tax obligations assessment, during this period, the state budget was not paid particularly large sums, specifically around 358 million AMD in value-added tax and profit tax.

In connection to the case, a criminal proceeding has been initiated at the Main Department for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
