Production Activities of Carbonated Beverage Factory Suspended in Ararat

During an inspection at the carbonated beverage factory owned by "Sismur" LLC, inspectors from the Food Safety Inspectorate’s Ararat regional center discovered that it was operating in violation of the sanitary and hygienic standards set by legal acts (located in the village of Arevshat, Ararat region).

Specifically:

  • The necessary technical maintenance and current repairs of technical equipment had not been conducted, nor had the production facilities been cleaned, washed, and disinfected.
  • The walls and floor surfaces of the production building were not made of waterproof, washable materials.
  • Accumulation of dirt, mold formation, risk of particles falling, and moisture condensation had not been prevented.
  • All tools and utensils were not made from materials satisfying hygiene requirements and were not kept in a repaired and proper condition; they had not been subject to adequate cleaning and disinfection.
  • Protection against the penetration of rodents and insects into production facilities had not been ensured, and the extermination process had not been conducted.
  • Facilities for washing hands had not been provided, nor were there measures for washing and drying.
  • The food facility lacked a changing room for staff.
  • Employees involved in the food chain had not undergone mandatory initial and periodic medical examinations.
  • The means of transportation for food did not have a sanitary passport.

The production activities of the carbonated beverage factory have been suspended, and a deadline has been set to eliminate the identified violations.
