«I’m waiting to hear his voice»: The wife of Vigen Euljkeian detained in Baku receives congratulations

The wife of Vigen Euljkeian, who is detained in Baku, Linda Euljkeian, has responded on her microblog to the news that Azerbaijan is releasing 32 Armenians and Armenia is releasing 2 Azerbaijani servicemen.

“I’m waiting to hear his voice. Let it be soon,” she wrote, sharing a photo with her husband.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan has published the names of the 32 Armenian servicemen, including Vigen Euljkeian.

Linda Euljkeian has received numerous congratulations, including from Lebanese-Armenian politician Paula Yakoubian, who wrote: “Vigen is finally free. Congratulations Linda and Kristina. Thanks to your continuous efforts and the work done, Vigen will return to you.”

It is recalled that Lebanese-Armenian Vigen Euljkeian had resettled in Shushi months before the 44-day war. He was captured hours after the trilateral statement, while he was heading to Berdzor and then Shushi with Maral Najaryan to retrieve personal belongings. Official Baku presented Vigen as a mercenary fighting for $2500 and sentenced him to 20 years in prison.
