Video: Pillows for Council Members of the Civil Contract Party; Situation in Alaverdi

Citizens gathered near the Alaverdi municipality sent pillows to the members of the council. They had previously demanded that those who signed the decision to impeach Arkadi Tamazyan come down and answer their questions. Seeing that their demand was not being met, they sent the pillows, suggesting that the council members were afraid to meet.

The residents of Alaverdi have blocked the entrance to the municipality and are demanding snap elections. They insist that the council members of the Civil Contract Party should not decide on who should lead the community on their behalf.

We reported that the Alaverdi community council was able to express no confidence in Arkadi Tamazyan amid a tense situation. The leader of the Civil Contract party faction, Davit Qumashyan, was elected as the new mayor.
