A New Landfill to Be Built Near the Nubarashen Landfill

The Yerevan City Hall is implementing various projects in urban economy sectors in collaboration with the European Investment Bank. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan discussed issues related to the expansion of cooperation with a delegation led by Lionel Rapa, director of the EIB’s Expansion and Neighborhood Department.

With the support of the European Investment Bank, the energy efficiency program in Yerevan is renovating kindergartens, and polyclinics are also included in this project. The solid waste management program in Yerevan plans to build a new landfill near the existing Nubarashen landfill.

Emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation, Mayor Tigran Avinyan presented the ongoing and proposed projects in the capital that could significantly improve the quality of life for residents and may interest the bank. In turn, Lionel Rapa noted that Yerevan is an important partner for the bank and expressed confidence that joint projects will continue to develop.
