A Queue of 2,500 Vehicles Has Formed at the Poland-Ukraine Border

A queue of 2,500 vehicles has formed at the Poland-Ukraine border, as two border crossings have been closed, announced Andrey Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service, during an interview on the Rada TV channel.

"The blockade is currently continuing. Four routes where protesters are blocking the movement of trucks from across the border—specifically at the Yahodyn, Krakovets, and Rava-Ruska border crossings, as well as the direction of the Shegyni crossing since the 23rd—have been identified," Demchenko stated.

According to information received from Polish border guards as of this morning, there are more than 2,500 trucks heading towards Ukraine," he added. Demchenko noted that the largest number of trucks is at the Rava-Ruska crossing with 850, while another 600 are at Krakovets and Shegyni, and 450 at Yahodyn. He clarified that a certain number of trucks are still crossing the border, but they are very few compared to the period before November 6, when the protests began.

Additionally, according to the State Border Guard Service, the Smolnytsia crossing and the crossing near Nizhankovichi have ceased operations at the border with Poland.

Earlier reports indicated that a queue of 995 trucks had formed at the Ukraine-Slovakia border. Slovak drivers are demanding the EU to revoke the decision to relax licensing rules for trucks coming from Ukraine.
