Deadly Car Accident on Komitas Avenue in Yerevan
On November 26, at 09:28, the National Center for Crisis Management received a report of a traffic accident on Komitas Avenue in Yerevan, near the Raffi School. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rescue Service.
A firefighting and rescue team from the Yerevan Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that vehicles involved in the collision were an 'Audi' (driven by V.A.) and a 'VAZ' (driven by L.K.).
Before the rescuers arrived, one of the passengers of the 'VAZ' vehicle was hospitalized at Heratsi Number 1 Hospital Complex, where he subsequently died.
The rescuers disconnected the vehicles from power, shut off the gas valves, and extracted another passenger (K.K., born in 1957) from the 'VAZ' vehicle, who was then transported to the ambulance.
Driver L.K. (born in 2001) and passenger K.K. were hospitalized at Armenia Medical Center, where K.K. died, and L.K.'s health condition was assessed as moderate severity.
