Investigators Provide Details on Tragic Accident on Yerevan-Gyumri Highway
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the tragic traffic accident that occurred on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway in the Shirak region. The Armenian Investigative Committee reports the incident.
Yesterday, it was reported that three vehicles— a BMW (driver A. S., born in 1982), a Ford (driver V. K., born in 1989), and a Mercedes-Benz (driver G. S., born in 1992)—collided at the 109th kilometer of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway. The driver of the Mercedes and a passenger, I. H. (born in 1977), died at the scene.
The Investigative Committee stated that one of the passengers in the Mercedes was found unconscious, while the drivers of the Ford Transit and BMW were taken to Gyumri Hospital with various injuries. The condition of the Mercedes passenger is assessed as extremely serious, while the other two injured individuals are reported to be in satisfactory condition according to preliminary data.
Investigators have conducted an examination of the accident site. The deceased driver and passenger of the Mercedes, along with another injured passenger, have been recognized as victims. Forensic examinations have been ordered, and the preliminary investigation is ongoing.
