An earthquake has been recorded in Azerbaijan, with tremors felt in Armenia, measuring 3 on the Richter scale.

Today, at 08:15 local time, the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 occurred 61 km north of Sumgayit, Azerbaijan, at a depth of 18 km. According to the reports from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the intensity of the underground shock in the epicenter zone was rated between 7 and 8 on the scale.

The earthquake was felt in the towns of Noyemberyan, Ijevan, Dilijan, and Berd in the Tavush region, and also in the village of Achajur, with an intensity of 3.
