Details on the Investigation of the Yerevan State University Explosion

Names of the individuals affected by today's explosion at Yerevan State University have been revealed. According to ArmLur.am, one of the hospitalized individuals is Lieutenant Haik Ghazaryan, born in 1990, from the 2nd platoon of the RA Police's Special Forces. He suffered from smoke inhalation and is currently in the hospital.

The other injured individuals include university staff members Seyran Bichakhchyan, born in 1953, and Aharon Hakobyan, born in 1957.

Meanwhile, the deceased as a result of the explosion is Yerevan resident Jorzhik Khachatryan, born in 1950.

As for the potential hypotheses currently being investigated by law enforcement, according to the media, and based on preliminary theories, Seyran Bichakhchyan apparently discharged a substance of unknown origin from a closed container into a bucket in the basement of the university, which led to the explosion.
