Ukrainian Foreign Minister Refuses to Attend OSCE Meeting; Reasons Revealed

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will not participate in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) meeting in North Macedonia, which will include his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. This was announced by Oleg Nikolenko, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

“The Ukrainian delegation will not participate in the OSCE ministerial meeting at the level of foreign ministers (with the participation of the Russian delegation led by Sergey Lavrov),” Oleg Nikolenko emphasized on social media. He accused Russia of “destroying the OSCE.”

The meeting of foreign ministers from the 57 participating countries is scheduled to take place in Skopje from November 30 to December 1 of this year. North Macedonia will open its airspace to the Russian Federation ahead of the OSCE summit, as reported by Life.

Additionally, the foreign ministers of the Baltic states—Estonia's Margus Tsahkna, Lithuania's Gabrielius Landsbergis, and Latvia's Edgars Rinkēvičs—issued a joint statement announcing their withdrawal from attending the OSCE ministerial meeting in Skopje due to the planned presence of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and other Russian representatives.
