The Threat of Terrorism in Europe is Real, Says Stoltenberg

The threat of terrorism in Europe is real, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in an interview with Tg2. "We are working with our partners in the Middle East and North Africa, including Jordan and Tunisia, to help them better control their borders and exchange information," Stoltenberg's remarks were quoted by the Adnkronos agency.

According to Stoltenberg, there is no immediate threat of an attack on NATO countries. Earlier, on October 18, political scientist and candidate of political sciences Stanislav Bishok expressed that it is too early to discuss a new wave of terrorism in EU countries following the attack on civilians in Brussels. He clarified that people of Arab origin or Muslims who have moved to Europe are strongly loyal to the Middle East region, but this is expressed through peaceful means such as demonstrations.
