Peskov Comments on Armenia's Participation in CSTO

All member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) are unanimous on the need to further strengthen the alliance, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia. He expressed hope that Armenia would eventually resume its approach towards greater participation in the organization.

“Armenia's position is known; we cannot agree on everything since the CSTO remains relevant. All countries are united on the issue of further strengthening and developing this alliance, so we hope this is the path we will follow. Subsequently, we also hope that our Armenian friends will ultimately resume their approach in favor of the organization’s expanded participation,” Peskov stated during an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
