Saakashvili: 'I Have Also Been Poisoned by Heavy Metals'

The former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, has commented on reports that Marianna Budanov, wife of Ukraine’s military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov, may have been poisoned and is undergoing treatment. Sources speaking to the publication ‘Babel’ have indicated that Marianna Budanova was poisoned by heavy metals. Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense's Intelligence Directorate, confirmed to the Ukrainian service of ‘Radio Free Europe’ that the information published by the media is accurate.

‘I have also been poisoned by heavy metals. This is a typical Russian tactic. I was poisoned in prison, and the presence of heavy metals in my body was diagnosed by German and American laboratories. After the poisoning, my condition worsened for several weeks until the pro-Russian oligarchic government agreed to transfer me to the clinic where I am still receiving treatment,’ Saakashvili wrote on social media.
