Coal Mine Collapse in China Leaves Casualties
At least 11 people have died as a result of a coal mine collapse in China, reports EAdaily. According to the publication, a large number of miners remain trapped under the rubble.
The tragedy occurred in the city of Shuangyashan, Heilongjiang province, at 16:00 Beijing time (12:00 Moscow time). The publication notes that preliminary investigations indicate that the roof collapsed in the area where the workers were located. Rescue teams are currently at the scene.
It is known that the mine is owned by Longmei Shuangyashan Mining Company.
