France Sold Armenia Useless Equipment It Couldn't Sell Elsewhere: Zakharova

French "Bastion" armored vehicles have demonstrated quite low effectiveness in real combat conditions in Ukraine. This was stated during a press briefing by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in response to a journalist's question regarding Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan's statement that the Armenian authorities are fully satisfied with the weapons supplied by France.

Zakharova believes that relying on French armored vehicles is naive. "If it is just for display in squares, there may be some sense in it, but when it comes to effectiveness, they can come, and our military can tell. France simply sold Armenia useless equipment that Paris could not realize in other directions," Zakharova emphasized.

According to Zakharova, it remains a mystery how this can contribute to the defense of Armenia's sovereign territory.
