Seyran Ohanyan on Zatulin's Statement Regarding the Opposition
The leader of the National Assembly's 'Armenia' faction, Seyran Ohanyan, stated that he has no information on whether the opposition in Armenia has reached out to Russia for support during the extraordinary parliamentary elections, as claimed by Russian State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin. This was reported by tert.am.
'I have no information on whether they have approached them or not. I have not heard that our opposition has made such a request to Russia; you should ask Zatulin. To be honest, we have very good friendly and comradely relations with Zatulin,' noted Ohanyan.
Ohanyan also added that the opposition's goal in 2021 was to remove the government. It is worth mentioning that earlier, Russian State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin stated that the Armenian opposition had previously approached Moscow for assistance in the struggle against Nikol Pashinyan.
