Samvel Shahramanyan to Attend Investigative Committee and Provide Testimony
The former President of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, has accepted the proposal from Armenian MP Andranik Kocharyan to attend the parliamentary investigative committee and provide testimony. This was reported by the newspaper "Hraparak," citing its sources.
Andranik Kocharyan had earlier stated that the committee still has a month until the end of its mandate and intends to invite Samvel Shahramanyan to answer their questions.
It is worth noting that Andranik Kocharyan publicly declared, "It would be more appropriate if Samvel Shahramanyan committed suicide." According to the newspaper's source, Shahramanyan had initially decided against attending due to Kocharyan's previous remarks directed at him.
"Shahramanyan has thought long about whether to go to the investigative committee, considering that Andranik Kocharyan has repeatedly made inappropriate comments, expressing offensive remarks about him several times publicly. However, prioritizing the real revelations regarding such a high-profile case, which he could contribute to, he has agreed to go to the investigative committee on November 24 and provide all the information he has from the period of the 44-day war to the committee," the newspaper writes.
Recall that during the 44-day war, Samvel Shahramanyan held the position of Minister of Defense, Youth, Sports, and Tourism of Artsakh.
