Georgia allows both Azerbaijan and Armenia to utilize its transit capabilities on equal terms. In an interview with Georgian public television, Georgian Foreign Minister Ilya Darchiashvili addressed the issue of arms supplies from France to Armenia through Georgian territory.

When asked whether the delivery of armored vehicles from France to Armenia via Georgia would hinder Tbilisi's role as a mediator between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Darchiashvili responded that Georgia provides both countries the opportunity to use its transit functions on equal terms.

“Any country has the right to have defense forces, and when it comes to conventional equipment or armaments permitted by international agreements, any country has the right to acquire them. Georgia's position is to allow both countries to use our transit functions on equal terms. That is our response; any assumptions regarding this issue are unfounded,” said Darchiashvili.

He emphasized that Georgia's main objective is to ensure peace and stability in the region together with the two friendly and brotherly nations.

The head of the foreign affairs agency believes that Georgia is successfully fulfilling its role as an impartial player in this process. He also mentioned that Tbilisi has diplomatically conveyed to Azerbaijan that it should not interfere in its relations with Armenia.
