Israel Sets Conditions for Ceasing Operations in Gaza
Israel will not halt its operations in the Gaza Strip until its objectives are fully achieved, specifically the destruction of Hamas and the return of captives, according to the Jerusalem Post, citing the country's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The information was provided by RIA Novosti.
"The state of Israel will not cease its operations in Gaza as long as the soldiers have not completed their mission — the destruction of Hamas and the return of prisoners to their families," the paper quoted Gallant during a meeting with Brett McGurk, the White House coordinator for Middle Eastern affairs.
As noted by the newspaper, Gallant informed McGurk about the progress of Israel's operations in Gaza, and they also discussed the situation concerning the captives.
