Price Changes in Food Products in October 2023
In October 2023, compared to October 2022, the consumer price index in Armenia increased by 0.1%. This information was provided by the Statistical Committee, which published the relevant indicators.
In October, a 3% decrease in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages was recorded compared to the same period in 2022.
Thus, in the category of bread and cereals, an 8.4% price decrease was observed. The prices of rice fell by 4.3%, bread by 7.1%, and pasta by 11.3%. The price of meat decreased by 0.4%, while the price of eggs increased by 13.3% compared to the previous October.
As noted in the lists, the category of dairy products, cheese, and eggs saw a 0.8% increase in prices. However, the price of sugar dropped by 5.4%.
It is worth mentioning that alcoholic beverages and tobacco products have become 8.5% more expensive. Clothing and footwear prices have also risen by 4%.
