No Third Country Control Can Be Established Over Any Part of Armenia's Sovereign Territory: Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ani Badalyan, commented on the statement made by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The government of the Republic of Armenia has recently published the ‘Peaceful Crossroads’ project, from which it is evident that in the event of opening regional communications, the Republic of Armenia must exercise border and customs control through its state institutions on its territory. Moreover, a special subdivision has been recently created within the National Security Service of Armenia, tasked with ensuring the security of these communications, as well as the transit of goods, cargo, vehicles, and people through them,” the statement read.
“The Republic of Armenia has never agreed to any limitations on its sovereignty through any document, and no third country can establish control over any part of its sovereign territory,” it was emphasized in the message.
