Lavrov's Statement on Armenia's Close Relations with the West

“Western countries are flattering Armenia and wish to befriend it against Russia,” said Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

Lavrov stated on the “Rossiya-1” television channel that the Russian Federation has no ulterior motives regarding Armenia's foreign partners.

“We support Armenia, as a member of the CSTO, as our close ally and strategic partner, in deciding how to build relations with external partners,” he added.
