Iran Calls for Action to Halt Oil Supply to Israel via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Expert Says

Iranian expert Vardan Voskanian writes on his Telegram channel: “Iran’s spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei announced today that Islamic countries should stop oil supplies to Israel. The fact is that Israel is exporting significant volumes of oil from the barbaric regime of Baku through Turkey. The statement from Iran’s spiritual leader further restricts the already limited maneuvering space of the tyrant of Baku, due to the harsh rhetoric of the Erdoğan administration against Tel Aviv, effectively pushing him into a corner.

However, the Erdoğan administration also finds itself in a somewhat unpleasant situation regarding the context of the Iranian leader's statement, as it tries to present itself as the supposed protector of Palestinians through harsh rhetoric against Israel, while the Iranian side is calling for action at the highest levels to close the oil supply to Israel via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.”
