Hamas Representative: Hostages Without Israeli Citizenship Will Be Released
Hamas is preparing to release some hostages who do not hold Israeli citizenship in the coming days. This was announced by the movement's representative in Gaza, Abu Obaida, as reported by Ha'aretz.
Abu Obaida did not specify the number of hostages that would be released. According to him, those individuals who do not have an Israeli passport and hold citizenship from other countries are not desired to be kept in the Gaza Strip. They will be released within the next few days.
Commenting on the fact that on October 30, Israeli soldiers freed serviceman Ori Medigish from captivity, Abu Obaida stated that he could have been held by private individuals. He noted that Israel has not managed to reclaim any individuals captured by the group.
On October 30, Iran's Foreign Ministry announced that Hamas had promised to release hostages who do not possess Israeli citizenship.
