Employee of Care Center Steals Pension Card from Armenian Grandmother

The police report states that on October 26, the pension card of an 86-year-old woman, forcibly displaced from Artsakh and living in one of the elderly care centers, was lost. On October 25, a sum of 100,000 AMD was withdrawn from the card.

In connection with the incident, a criminal investigation has been initiated by the Kotayk regional investigative department. As a result of actions taken by the police department in Hrazdan, it was determined that the theft was committed by a nurse at the care center.

The 34-year-old woman from Yerevan was identified and presented to the prosecuting authority on October 31, where she provided a confession. It is noted that part of the stolen money has been recovered.
