Photograph: 'David's Stars' on Jewish Homes in Paris and Suburbs

In the suburban areas of Saint-Ouen and Aubervilliers, as well as in the capital city itself, homes where Jewish families reside have been marked with David's stars, reports the Parisien publication. This information has been relayed by RIA Novosti.

Saint-Ouen's Mayor Karim Bouamrane condemned the anti-Semitic act, expressing support for the families living there. The municipality has immediately begun the removal of the Jewish religious symbols.

"Information regarding this act has been forwarded to the prosecutor. Those responsible must be found and punished by justice with the utmost severity and determination. The mayor's office remains committed to the values of tolerance and respect, which are traditional values of the Republic that protects all of its citizens, regardless of their social and ethnic characteristics, philosophical, cultural, political, and sexual views," states the municipality's message published on Twitter.

Aubervilliers Deputy Mayor Antoine Guillou referred to this act as "dishonorable and unacceptable," noting that he has contacted the city's prefecture.
