Netanyahu Blames Intelligence Agencies for Being Unprepared for Hamas Attack
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has apologized for a post made on social media, where he blamed intelligence agencies for the country's unpreparedness for the Hamas attack, reports Meduza.
On the night of October 29, a post appeared on Netanyahu's account, in which the Israeli prime minister stated that before the October 7 terrorist attack, the heads of security and intelligence services had not warned the government in any way. On the contrary, they believed that the group was “confused and searching for ways to resolve the conflict” and had repeatedly expressed this opinion “up until the start of the war.”
Following the post, Netanyahu faced heavy criticism. Opponents of Netanyahu emphasized that now is not the right time for such statements and that those responsible should be sought after the war.
Afterward, the post was deleted from Netanyahu's account, after which the official apologized, stating that he “fully supports all the leaders of the security agencies.”
