What is Happening in Gaza is Not the Official Start of a Ground Operation: IDF Spokesperson

The expansion of military operations in the Gaza Strip is not the official start of a ground operation. This was announced by Israel Defense Forces spokesman Peter Lerner.

It is recalled that the IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari commented on the expansion of military operations in the Gaza Strip: “We have increased the pace of our attacks on the Gaza Strip. Our air forces are targeting underground sites and terrorist infrastructures. While continuing our assaults on the Gaza Strip, our forces are currently expanding the scope of ground operations to achieve the objectives of this war.”

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns that the result of Israel's ground operation in the Gaza Strip will be “a humanitarian disaster of epic proportions lasting for many years.”

“Israel has just begun a ground war in Gaza,” the statement added.
