European Union to Allocate 50 Million Euros to Aid Gaza
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced that the European Union will allocate an additional 50 million euros in humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip.
“We will allocate an additional 50 million euros for humanitarian assistance. On Friday, we will sign a contract for 40 million euros with UN agencies. Another 10 million euros will be used to deliver humanitarian aid through two flights via Egypt,” she stated.
Since the escalation of the conflict, the EU has already provided 75 million euros in humanitarian aid to the population of Gaza, as well as delivered 56 tons of assistance via Egyptian territory.
