This is a failure: Pashinyan on the role of Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh
It is a fact that the Russian peacekeeping contingent has not been able or has not wanted to ensure the security of the Armenian population in Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told The Wall Street Journal. He stated, "This is a failure."
He noted that the Republic of Armenia can be peaceful only if our region is peaceful. The opposite is not possible. "Therefore, we do not separate our visions of peace and do not oppose them to the regional interests of peace," he said.
Speaking about those forcibly displaced from Artsakh, Pashinyan said that if they do not have the opportunity or desire to return to Nagorno-Karabakh, "we will do everything to ensure they can stay, live, and create in Armenia."
