Artak Zeynalayan Has No Intentions of Resigning His Mandate, Says Ani Khachatryan

We have clearly identified our candidates for the Deputy Mayor and the head of our faction before the elections. This was stated by Ani Khachatryan, the head of the "Republic" faction, during a conversation with reporters at the Yerevan City Hall.

She announced that the information circulating in the media suggesting that Artak Zeynalayan or herself might occupy the Deputy Mayor positions was based on speculation.

Addressing the rumors that Artak Zeynalayan might go to the Constitutional Court (CC), Khachatryan said, "Mr. Zeynalayan is a member of the council, and there are currently no elections for the CC members. There can be many discussions, but I don’t know what time will show. However, at this moment, Artak Zeynalayan is a council member and has no intention of resigning his mandate. I cannot say what will happen later; perhaps Mr. Zeynalayan is going, for example, to become the Prime Minister of Armenia," said Khachatryan.
