A New Division to Ensure Regional Communication Security in Armenia
A special division will soon be established within Armenia's law enforcement system, tasked with ensuring the safety of international communications, cargo, transport vehicles, and individuals passing through Armenia. This announcement was made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the Tbilisi 'Silk Road' international conference.
According to the Prime Minister, the division will work in conjunction with the patrol police. Pashinyan reaffirmed Armenia's willingness and interest in opening all communications, stating that this initiative would only strengthen peace and stability in the region.
At the same time, Yerevan insists that countries in the region should benefit from communications based on the principles of reciprocity and equality. Pashinyan also mentioned that reciprocity could be achieved through certain simplifications of border and customs control procedures.
He noted that a 'Peace Junction' project developed by the government will be presented to all countries in the region in the near future. Pashinyan expressed hope that collaborative efforts would make this possible.
It should be noted that the Tbilisi 'Silk Road' conference will take place on October 26-27, with the capital of Georgia expecting around 2,000 guests from about 60 countries.
