China Calls on Israel to Lift Gaza Blockade

The permanent representative of China to the United Nations, Zhang Jun, has stated that Israel must lift the blockade of the Gaza Strip and open humanitarian aid routes.

“The Gaza Strip has been without electricity and water for 15 days; food and medicine are running out. The Security Council must take measures to lift the blockade of Gaza and ensure safe passage for aid,” he said.

According to the Chinese diplomat, the illegal occupation of Palestinian territories is the main reason for the Palestine-Israel conflict. The solution lies in the implementation of the UN’s two-state solution plan.

“We urge the Security Council to take collective and urgent responsible actions and send a united message,” Zhang Jun emphasized.
