Canada Opens Embassy in Yerevan

Canada now has an embassy in Armenia. Today, a solemn ceremony was held in Yerevan for the opening of the embassy, attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan.

The flag was raised by Andrew Turner, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Canada to Armenia, and Mélanie Joly, the head of Canada's foreign affairs department.

It should be noted that the office of the Armenian National Committee of Canada announced back in August that Mélanie Joly would visit the Republic of Armenia in September to participate in the official opening of the Canadian embassy.
