Peskov Outlines Path to Resolve Palestine-Israel Conflict

The foundation for resolving the Palestine-Israel conflict should be the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, stated Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the President of Russia.

“The position of the Russian side is very consistent. This has been expressed multiple times by President Putin. We condemn all manifestations of terrorism, and we sympathize with the families and friends of the victims. We believe it is essential to ensure an immediate ceasefire and to reach a solution to the issue, the basis of which must be the guarantee of the Palestinians' independent statehood,” Peskov told reporters.

He added that Russia maintains “quite regular and intensive dialogue with the Israeli side” and regularly exchanges views.
