US to Send Military Advisers to Israel
The United States is sending military advisers to Israel. This was announced on October 23 by John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council (NSC) of the White House.
“There are several military personnel who have the relevant experience, the kind of experience that we believe pertains to the operations that Israel is conducting and may conduct in the future, to go there to share their perspectives and also to ask hard questions. Those hard questions we have put to our Israeli partners from the outset,” he told reporters.
At the same time, the representative of the U.S. presidential administration declined to specify the number of American officers that will be heading to Israel. Kirby provided a vague response, stating, “There are a few.”
