There Will Be No Ceasefire in Gaza, Israeli Official Says

An Israeli senior official told CNN that there will be "no ceasefire in Gaza" while the United States and Qatar are working to secure the release of over 200 hostages still in the hands of Hamas. The official also stated that they are "unaware" of any U.S. calls to delay Israel's anticipated ground operation in Gaza.

"Humanitarian efforts cannot be allowed to interfere with the mission to obliterate Hamas," the official remarked in response to reports that the U.S. has urged Israel to postpone its ground operations.

The Israeli military carried out dozens of airstrikes on Hamas targets late Sunday evening, as reported by the Israel Defense Forces.
